Light green - easy lanes, should be accessible by all riders

Mid green - fun - with larger gravel and rocks, unpredictable surface, ruts and inclines

Dark green - challenging - usually because of a combination o features, including larger rocks, divots and climbs which need momentum/skill/luck to negotiate. These need extra caution if riding solo.
